Motorcade 03:52
[Intro] (A-T-O-M B-O-M-B) [Verse 1] This is the hand that made mistakes Caressing you like a rattlesnake It’s a-go-go, shimmy and a shake, I know You take your shot between the eyes Now I'm your big ticket prize It’s a-go-go, shimmy and a shake, I know [Pre-Chorus 1] Oh-oh Oh-oh You’re my You’re my [Chorus 1] You’re my motorcade You’re my motorcade You’re my motorcade You’re my You’re my (A-T-O-M B-O-M-B) (A-T-O-M B-O-M-B) You’re my motorcade You’re my [Verse 2] P-p-pay for your pills and your TV state Pay for your land and security Is it too much to ask the same for watchin' me like the NSA Come a straight shooter like JFK Hold onto my hips like the TSA It's a-gogo, shimmy and a shake, you know [Pre-Chorus 2] Put the effort in, it's nothing wrong And I will go down faster than an atom bomb (A-T-O-M B-O-M-B) [Chorus 1] You’re my motorcade You’re my motorcade You’re my motorcade You’re my You’re my (A-T-O-M B-O-M-B) (A-T-O-M B-O-M-B) You’re my motorcade You’re my [Outro] (You’re my) A-T-O-M B-O-M-B (You’re my) A-T-O-M B-O-M-B (You’re my) A-T-O-M B-O-M-B (You’re mine) A-T-O-M B-O-M-B A-T-O-M B-O-M-B (You’re mine)

Summer Heart 04:21
[Verse 1] It was just the other day You walkin’ by my way While the world was burnin’ down The future was ours So I was preparing to drown I can only hear the sins From an ocean of violins Crashing over the plain on your behalf Into the abyss we kissed between laughs And you said – [Chorus 1] You have such a summer heart Burns out just when it starts And I don’t mean to call you out But I’ve seen this sunset too many times to count [Verse 2] Days into months We found ourselves stuck in such a rut And by the next rhyme We seemed to have lost all the time I can only hear the sins Of a thousand twangling instruments I couldn’t stand that racket anymore Why is death the only way to present the strongest case to live? And you said – [Chorus 2] You have such a summer heart Burns out just when it starts And I don’t mean to call you out But I’ve seen this sunset too many times to count [Bridge] It’s hard not to regret All the warmth we spent Killing time, romanticizing Donnie, Lux and Clay While we pray against the light That dares to turn and fight the dark every day [Chorus 3] You have such a summer heart Burns out just when it starts And I don’t mean to call you out But I’ve seen this sunset (too many times to) But I’ve seen this sunset But I’ve seen this sunset too many times to count

Peter Pan 04:42
[Verse 1] As you look down on the field with All your lost boys and thimble shield Do you look back, do you feel glad To find you wield the same sword that your father had If you could fly outside yourself Your spark would have no doubt We put ashtrays in our airplanes To put the fires out [Pre-Chorus 1] I don’t mean to intrude into your world My shrink seems to think you carry a pearl [Chorus 1] Tell me Peter Peter Pan What’s it like in Neverland What’s the property tax like Is Tinker Bell cat-called all night Hey there, Peter Peter Pan You and I share somethin’ kid You wish you could never grow up Sometimes I wish I never did [Verse 2] When literary changes are to difficult to read Try and analyze, there’s no need to feel defeat Don’t shroud yourself in metaphor to buy yourself some time To find the words to build a world where you and I reside [Pre-Chorus 2] Refusing to see how we grew closely Ain’t worth looking back and feelin’ rosy [Chorus 1] Tell me Peter Peter Pan What’s it like in Neverland What’s the property tax like Is Tinker Bell cat-called all night Hey there, Peter Peter Pan You and I share somethin’ kid You wish you could never grow up Sometimes I wish I never did [Outro] We can't rewrite the past But the pain, it won't last You'll dig deep among the leaves And find accountability

about

FROM ANDY:

Hello and welcome to our third (!) EP. Please wipe your shoes on the mat before you come in.

These four songs are No Funny Business Synthpop™. Doomsday bops. Like if Brandon Flowers read The Outline. Way slimmer than the album we put out back in April, in both form and function.

"What's the cover art all about?"

In THINKING OF YOU THINKING OF ME (vimeo.com/355916925), Sara Tonin, a beautiful masked performer surrounded by fake flowers performs a monologue describing "cheap imitation[s]" picking and choosing qualities of models around them in order to protect themselves, and becoming "something new entirely." For example, “A single fly will copy several different kinds of bees, confusing and repelling any potential predators, leaving them protected in their cheap imitation.”

With full knowledge that my following analysis is Something No-One Asked For, I resonated with Sara (and Gallagher) as they keenly detailed the sort of curatorial selves we simultaneously create and become. My online self is one that’s enamored with dogs, leftist social justice, David Bowie, and deeply, deeply silly tweets. It can be _exhausting_.

In rapidly curating ourselves based on bits of culture, politics, social practices around us, we haven’t yet reckoned with what we’ve become -- the “something new entirely.” Reckoning with this, the relationship between myself and my online self – and any other selves I create concurrently, consciously or unconsciously – is something I’m fascinated by; something I want to explore in my art, my writing, and my band, Sailor Boyfriend.

The image of Sara Tonin with the subtext of “What’s Next” is a strong association – not asking “What’s next?” but stating clearly, "This is what's next. A site for bewilderment. There is no time left to not deal with it. So… Deal with it." Plus, I want more people to see Gallagher’s video work.
